A common convo AKP and I have during our weekly coffee dates is, what do we want to do before we graduate? One answer: Go back to Frank's one last time.
So this past Wednesday we hiked over to Lakeshore (a walk I haven't done in two years) and went to Frank's for a late lunch.
The atmosphere is still the same and the food selection is still just as disappointing. I feel like I've caught myself saying that I miss Frank's more than a few times since I left the dorms, but I think I miss more of the idea of Frank's (always having someone from your floor to eat with, never having to cook anything for yourself, etc.) rather than the food itself. My tray consisted of a salad from the salad bar, taffy apple salad from the salad bar, french fries, and lemonade. Thankfully Frank's puts up the nutritional information and the amount of calories in everything, so rarely did I ever eat the entrees they served. I remember in my first year of college the awful food selection made it really hard to call home during dinner time. My extended family eats dinner together fairly often, and me being the only person gone from the group, I would usually get a phone call while everyone's hanging out. After hearing about the delicious dinner everyone in my fam just ate, I would hang up the phone in tears, and go to Carson's to treat myself. (A Carson's visit is also on our list... I could really go for a quesadilla or one of their grilled subs...)
Ash and I spent the hour reminiscing about our freshman and sophomore years spent in Sullivan and came up with some pretty good memories... I can't believe that was four years ago...
ALSO: Today my Spanish professor announced that our final exam is going to be a take home. Which means, my last final is on the MONDAY of finals week! NEVER has that happened to me before... usually I'm the last person done of everyone I know.
